Rittenhouse Venus

I came up with a character for a one week assignment when the class took a trip to Rittenhouse. I liked her so much that I decided to do a second painting and use her for postcards. Only problem is that I recently looked up one of my favorite artists and noticed that one of his pieces have close to the same character. They aren't identical, but they have the same colors and everything! What do I do!? D:
I still want to use her! The first picture is the one I painted for the postcard, the second two are the original piece I did of this character and the piece that was made by Dave Glass.

Barbie necklace

Since all I ever do is paint, I've been trying to come up with more 3D stuff to post on here. Here's a necklace I just made using old wire, a barbie, an old necklace and an earring. I picked up the barbie the last time I went to AIDS Thrift and cut her up in fun different ways. I always planned to make jewelry with her, but it's taken me a while to be inspired. The chains hanging from her face are actually taken from an earring that an old friend left here a long time ago. The necklace she's attached to was something I picked up at the punk rock flea market for a dollar. Basically, this entire necklace cost only two dollars to make... WOOHOO! I painted up the face here and there and made her eyebrow hella awesome. In case you can't see it too well, it's a scorpion.

Corsage

Nearly finished the corsage I made today, I have yet to add the pin to the back though. I started off with an old doll body that I found in the basement, it was gessoed and painted in hot pink and black acrylic paint. Then I glued little beads to the body using krazy glue, bad idea for me because I'm a total slob when it comes to glue.
Basically, I just found this spare stuff in my house and made something pretty out of it!

ice cream munny

I've had this munny half-done since last semester, so I finally decided to finish him. I painted up the background to photograph him in front of it really quick because I didn't have any other good backdrop. I'll be posting again soon, enjoy.
